As most of you have noticed, the weather out is pretty white!  If you’re one of the lucky people whose job allows you not to be in today, or if your classes have been cancelled, please try and stay off the roads unless necessary.  It is very slippery, so even all-wheel, and four-wheel drive may not allow you to turn, or stop in time.  Please also remember that your vehicle’s safety is also dependent on other vehicles, so if you must be out, be on the lookout for vehicles that are having difficulty.

Remember to allow extra time to get where you’re headed, and be safe!

Those of you that have been in to see us recently – hi! – have seen our new ‘Before & After’ poster in the office.  It has been a popular update to the age old photo board we used to have.

Everyone is talking about the estimated $1.8 Billion Powerball jackpot!  There is a lot of talk about what we would do here in the office, and we got to wondering what you would do!  Would you take the cash option?  The incremental payments?  What do you want to do with the money itself?  We would love to hear from you!

And if you don’t win – which of course we all will, right?!? – the “best” answer, (totally, and completely judged in an unbiased and totally fair way by us…) will win $5 off of a day of rental or mechanical service!  Your choice!

With thanks to Car Talk, and cartalk.com, I found this great article about Winter Driving loaded with Tips for the best way to prepare and to drive in the worst weather winter has to offer.  A few of the highlights include a reminder that all-wheel drive and stability control help, but are not magical devices that make your car perfectly stable in any conditions!  I own a four-wheel drive SUV with great tires and have still felt a slide or two in icy conditions!
